Dr. Will or Dr. Eric will thoroughly examine your mouth during your comprehensive exam to detect any potential problems.
Next, we will clean your teeth to remove plaque and tartar from every hard-to-reach surface that even the most meticulous brushing and flossing can’t reach.
Detailed x-rays will help us to catch issues that can’t be seen with the naked eye so we can address them before they turn into large problems.
Depending on what Dr. Will finds during your exam, he may recommend treatment to address any issues. For example, he may recommend a simple filling if you have a cavity. A filling is a quick treatment that can be done after your cleaning, or you can schedule a separate appointment for another day if you are pressed for time. If no issues are found, we will see you in about 6 months for your next cleaning and checkup!
If no issues or concerns are found during your initial new patient exam, simply continue to see us every 6 months for preventive care and check-ups. If any issues are found during your exam, Dr. Will will recommend a treatment plan that fits your schedule, budget, and dental goals.
